CORPORATE CONTROLLER Job Opening in Medford, Oregon - We are a leading manufacturer of cannabis extracts, located in Medford, OR. We are growing rapidly, have a continuously evolving manufacturing process and are in need of an experienced Controller with a good grasp of financial accounting, cost accounting and cash management. Reporting to the CFO, the ideal candidate will work with management, production, and other company staff on all aspects of financial management. This is a critically important position in the Company and requires someone who is a self-starter and able to take on a variety of duties and responsibilities as needed. Quickbooks? expertise is a ?must have.?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting
Develop / Maintain Integrity of Accounting System(s) and Data
Conduct Periodic ?Closings?
Prepare Financial Statements in Conformity with GAAP/IFRS
Cost Accounting Systems Development and Oversight
Co-manage External Accounting Relationship(s)
Auditors
Tax compliance providers
Payroll service
Planning & Budgeting
Shared Oversight of Financial Planning Model Including Development, Enhancement and Maintenance.
Shared Responsibility for Producing Annual Budget and Financial / Operating Plan
Prepare Quarterly Budget vs. Actual Comparison Meetings w/ Managers
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Maintain & Enhance both Financial and Management Reporting Packages
Prepare periodic Financial and Management Reports
Conduct ad hoc modeling of Business Performance, Revenues & Expenses
Work with Managers to Implement and Track Cost Control Activities
Cash management
Maintain and Enhance Systems for daily Monitoring of Cash Balances
Bank Account Reconciliation
Track Disbursement Activity
Cash Flow Forecast & Reconciliation (Short & Long-term)
Payroll
Manage the Payroll Process
Tax compliance
Oversight of Tax Preparation
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors? Degree or above in Accounting with 5 years or more of experience including inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
Quickbooks? Expertise
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Skilled with database and ERP systems
Experience working efficiently and effectively with manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of costs
Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Detail and deadline oriented
Able to quickly learn computer programs, build reports using queries, lookups and pivot tables; gather data for reporting and analysis
This person needs to have outstanding organizational and communication skills, and be an extremely detail-oriented, individual contributor proficient in Excel and Word.
