Staff Accountant Job Opening in Scottsdale, Arizona - Detail oriented and focused with the ability to work in fast-paced environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Staff Accountant:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
Prepare monthly G/L account reconciliation schedulesExperience with month-end closing procedures.
Maintain fixed assets, including additions and dispositions with an understanding of GAAP depreciation methods
Calculate and post monthly/annual accrualsMaintain long-term debt schedule including calculation of accrued interest and current portion of long-term debt
Process payroll transactions and reports (direct deposits, garnishments, loans, bonuses, PTO accrual, 941 reconciliation approaching overtime reports etc.)
Prepare and or coordinate payroll quarterly and year-end reports Reconcile bank statements
Participate in timely and accurate reporting and account reconciliations.
Actively participate in financial reporting
Develop and help maintain internal control environmentSpecial projects as assigned
Qualifications:
1 years of accounting experience in a high volume, fast-paced environmentMust have familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles
Full knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting and payroll related activities.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to streamline workflow processes and make appropriate recommendations
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as pertaining to payroll processing (FLSA, sick time, ACA etc.)
Detail oriented, organized and able to multi task
Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentExcel experienceJob Type:
