Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Selma, Alabama - Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides timely and accurate payment processing by processing accounts payable checks semi-weekly.
Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of payables work.
Develop and maintain reports and files on the Accounts Payable processing.
Input general ledger entries for account changes.
Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances.
Develop and maintain regular reports to the Finance Manager as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills /Requirements:
Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
Work accurately with close attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the financial services industry.
Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
Excellent communication and team building skills
Fluent in both English and Korean preferred.
Education/Training /Experience :
B.S. in Accounting/Finance; Business degree acceptable as long as completed course work in Intermediate Accounting, Taxation and cost accounting.
QuickBooks experience is a plus.
