Senior Software Engineer for an Award Winning on-line application!
This position is ONLY Direct Hire - Will not consider C2C or C2H
Responsibilities include
Providing analysis and development an award winning application platform.
The position involves bleeding edge technologies and mathematical algorithms.
The Senior Software Engineer will be developing high-performing, low-latency and real-time software (predominately custom written) in a highly distributed and networked environment.
Utilize technologies involving data structures, algorithms, networking, sockets, concurrent programming, caching and clustered architecture.
Will also provide mentor-ship to more junior developers. The ideal candidate will possess most of the following qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of strong Java back-end development with 1.7 or 1.8. Will also have a passion for keeping up to date on future Java releases and new features.
Experience with network and socket programming
Experience with Java threads, concurrency, thread pools and worker queues
Working background with real-time and distributed processing
Messaging applications experience
Experience with caching and distributed caches
Rich front-end client interface applications experience
Experience with high-performing database applications and SQL Server.
Experience working in an Agile and test driven development environment
Financial or Banking industry highly desirable, but not required
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar major
