Outside Business to Business Sales Representative Job Opening in Newark, Delaware - This full time sales position sells health insurance and related ancillary employee benefits as well as valuable solutions and consulting services to business executives. This position is responsible for generating new business and maintaining a current book of business for the Agency utilizing relationship building skills, forward-thinking and an energetic, consultative style. Compensation is a combination of a base salary plus commissions on new and renewal sales. IFS Benefits, LLC also offers a benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, group term life, short term and long term disability, 401k and paid time off.
Job Responsibilities:
Selling health insurance and related ancillary employee benefits to employers with 6-200 employees in Delaware and adjacent counties in PA and MD.
Actively developing new business leads and managing leads from other sources.
Meeting with prospects and clients face to face, developing a positive business relationship built on mutual trust.
Identifying key decision makers and using IFS Benefits resources to recommend solutions to address client?s issues and objectives.
Demonstrating technical knowledge necessary to communicate the nuances of health insurance as well as understanding and articulating IFS Benefits, LLC solutions and advantages.
Achieving new business sales goals of a minimum of $50,000 per year.
Developing and maintaining an effective network within the business community and employee benefits industry.
Managing overall client relationships and successfully renewing clients with support of a Benefits Client Manager and Benefits Support Specialist.
Working closely with internal Agency resources to deliver effective new business and renewal presentations to clients and prospects.
Maintaining competitive market, industry, and compliance knowledge of employer-provided employee benefits plans.
Maintaining accurate and timely information in the Agency management system.
Position Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to generate substantial and consistent new business through prior business to business sales experience, preferably in a related field.
Enthusiasm and self-discipline with the flexibility to work individually or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where time management and prioritization skills are essential.
Ability to work in a small business environment.
Able to take a consultative approach to sales, thinking creatively, critically and logically to provide valuable solutions to prospects and clients.
Superior interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Position Requirements:
Obtain and maintain all licensing, continued education requirements and a professional designation.
Strong visibility within the local community.
Bachelor?s degree.
