Field Sales Representative Job Opening in Reston, Virginia - Cover 2 Sales is an independent manufacturers' representative firm in the exciting electronics industry. Our customers are every company that designs and/or manufacturers electronic products or systems; everything from defense electronics, to power tools, to wind turbines, to cyber security gear.
We are looking to add a creative professional who can function autonomously and also as a member of a successful team. He/she will be able to utilize a consultative sales approach to successfully build relationships and cultivate sales with engineers, supply chain personnel, and management within an exclusive customer based in DC metro area. This sales representative will be able to identify customers? technical needs and their corporate ?pain points? and identify solutions from our manufacturers to address those needs. Each new sale will generate incremental commissions for the firm and the representative. We offer uncapped commissions, product and sales tool training, and performance mentoring.
Job Description
Build and maintain customer relationships across myriad disciplines and levels
Prospect for new customers and for additional opportunities with existing customers
Address customers? needs in a timely manner, to drive revenue growth
Spend approximately 80% ?face time? with customers
Regular travel with engineers, managers and factory personnel from our manufacturers
Provide post-production support to customers
Out-of-town travel, as needed, for training, factory visits and seminars
Participate in training sessions for our channel sales partners
Maintain CRM/Opportunity Tracking databases
Preparation of sales pipeline reports
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree. An engineering degree is not required, but technical aptitude is an asset
Must be a US citizen
Minimum 2 years B2B field sales experience
Experience qualifying business opportunities and conducting needs assessments
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize competing demands for time and attention
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a larger team
Personal commitment to exceptional customer service
Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database tools (CRM, in particular)
Excellent listening skills
