Technical Support/Sales Specialist Job Opening in Olathe, Kansas - We have an opening for a technical support and sales specialist to join our growing team that would be responsible for answering and responding to customer calls and emails about technical issues related to automotive diagnostic scan tools and on-car computer programming, coding, key programming, and software-related issues .
The ideal candidate will provide technical problem resolution to our customers by asking specifically targeted questions to correctly diagnosis the problem, and guide users through step-by-step solutions. Solutions include, but are not limited to, resolving username and password problems, basic software applications, verifying proper hardware and software set-up, power cycling equipment, vehicle-specific solutions for on-car computer programming, coding, immobilizer, and security-related issues. The position also involves in-bound sales generation; invoice creation and customer follow up.
The position is full-time and starting pay is $12+ hourly, based on experience, with a 90-day performance evaluation. Opportunity is available for increased pay as experience is gained. No previous technical support/sales experience necessary, but is preferred. Health insurance is available after evaluation period.

Automotive diagnostic technician experience
Automotive OEM scan tool knowledge and experience
Experience with J-2534 programming and diagnostics

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
Gather customer?s information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms.
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues to end-users.
Research required information using available resources and work thru processes with customers.
Accurately process and notate call transactions using computer and designated tracking software.
Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers when necessary
Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Ability to assess each customers? IT knowledge levels and adjust accordingly
Ability to deal with difficult callers
Must be a logical thinker and have good analytical and problem solving skills
In-depth understanding of the software and equipment our customers/employees are using (most of this will be learned on the job)
Follow standard company processes and procedures.
Redirect problems to appropriate resource as needed
Good interpersonal and customer care skills
Representatives will perform other related work as required.
No experience in the automotive repair industry is necessary, but a background in the industry is beneficial.
