The Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of a newly created cross functional agile team to support Financial Risk Management. This individual will be part of a brand new project that will help identify Risk in semi real-time across millions of our customers. This individual will work closely with developers, business analyst and product owners. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to work closely with the internal QA automation team and to ensure superior testing of development code prior to release to production. The focus of the QA Engineer will be to ensure all changes to our applications are tested adequately. The QA Engineer will be responsible for creating test plans and test cases and ensuring they follow all standards and are appropriate on a project by project basis. The QA Engineer is responsible for using all test management tools according to standards.
Responsibilities:
Create test plans and participate in Peer Reviews
Lead a Test Data strategy
Participate in the creation of acceptance criteria for all tasks
Participate in agile ceremonies.
Create and execute test cases according to standards ? manual and automated
Perform problem solving and root cause analysis when defects occur
Implement automated tests using approved testing and automation tools
Help to educate developers on testing methodologies and framework
Requirements:
5+ years of software testing experience
Selenium experience required/Cucumber would be a plus
Java programming experience required.
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
Technical skills include Windows, LINUX, UNIX,
Ability to resolve issues In a timely manner
Effective listening skills
Aptitude and desire to learn
Strong analytical/critical thinking skills
Experiences from Financial Services Company is must
