Medical Biller/Receptionist Job Opening in Quincy, Massachusetts - New Horizons Medical , rapidly growing Office-Based Opioid (Suboxone) Treatment practice is looking for Medical Coder who wants to join our team.

Primary responsibilities:
Assigns ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) procedure and service level codes to patient?s encounters. Reviews medical record documentation to ensure appropriate coding and billing of physician and non-physician patient services.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of coding and regulatory requirements to accurately assign codes for appropriate reimbursement of healthcare services.
Obtains referrals for the practice patients, track units limitations for specific services and requests prior authorizations as required, helps with appeals.
Must have assertive communication skills and the ability to deal with others using tact and diplomacy. Computer skills and ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word are also required.
Work requires intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills to be able to operate in several applications at once and manipulate files. Knowledge of data abstracting software preferred. Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email.

Minimum Qualifications
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
High school diploma
Strong computer skills
Proficient Medical Terminology
Detailed oriented
Must be Multi-task
Prior medical experience preferred
