Controller Job Opening in Toledo, Ohio - Controller
Medium-sized business is seeking a new Controller who will be in charge of our entire accounting operation for the business and all subsidiaries. We operate approximately 40 retail watch repair departments located across the country.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
5 or more years of experience in accounting
Strong computer skills
Strong communication and problem solving skills
MBA, CMA, or CPA is a plus but is not required.

Job responsibilities include the following:
Supervise 4-5 accounting staff members
Perform month-end close activities including the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries
Prepare monthly accounting statements according to GAAP
Prepare company-specific financial reports and forecasts
Analyze and explain deviations to budgets and forecasts, including root case analysis and initiating corrective actions.
Treasury functions including responsibility for cash flow management, cash flow projections, and cash flow optimization
Implement and maintain a system of internal controls
File federal, state, and local tax returns
Process physical inventories and monitor variances
Advise the executive team on financial and business decisions
Handle all insurance matters
Coordinate purchasing of merchandise
Coordinate with information technology consultants to maintain IT infrastructure
Coordinate with building maintenance contractors to maintain facilities
