Accounting Manager ? Start-up Job Opening in Boston, Massachusetts - HireMinds is support a fast-growing Start-up in the greater Boston area, with their efforts to identify a hands-on CPA for a newly created lead finance role. The Accounting Manager will work with senior management to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all monthly and quarterly financial data. This will be the first hire for the company in this capacity so there is unlimited potential for growth and an increase of future responsibilities.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Coordination of month and year-end close activities
Preparation of Financial Statements and related reporting
Year-end budgeting and forecasting process
Implementing accounting policies and procedures
Cash and Treasury management
Review and reconciliation of AP and Billing data
Overseeing Payroll processing
Assisting with ad-hoc projects, analysis, and system implementations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
CPA preferred
5-7 years of combined public accounting/private industry experience preferred
Proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookups, Modeling)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
