TUESDAY 5/31/ Application available at Complete job description available upon request to the Department of Human Resources Information at and DEFINITION: Provides clinical patient care as member of care team in all aspects of serving the patients of Partnership Health Center (PHC). MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: LPN: Requires graduation from a licensed practical nursing program. Requires current license as a practical nurse in the State of Montana. Medical Assistant: Requires certification as a Medical Assistant, CMA or RMA. REPRESENTATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK: Functions as member of care team. Scribes for provider and assists with patient visit. Schedules follow up appointments. Triages patients. Manages patient flow. Conducts and records initial health interviews, prepares patients for examination. Gathers and records vital signs. Charts interactions with patients. Collects specimens, draws blood and performs lab tests. Distributes test results and assures entry into patient records. Prepares and administers prescription medications to patients, telephones prescriptions to pharmacies, records medications. Communicates with other health care providers. Maintains clinic work area and equipment, including cleaning and sterilization. Assists with material management and stocking of clinic, inventory and ordering. LPN performs nursing duties, prepares and administers injections and vaccinations, assists medical providers with patient follow up. Medical Assistant assists provider with minor procedures. DEMANDS: Work performed while walking or standing most of the time. Work requires medium range lifting, including supply boxes (20-30 lbs.); assisting patients on and off examination tables; carrying, lifting and restraining children. Requires manual dexterity to perform skills such as drawing blood (and, for LPNs, giving injections). Employee may risk exposure to bio-hazardous waste (blood, urine, body fluids), disinfectant chemicals and communicable diseases. Work schedules rotate and include evening and weekend hours.
