Information Security Engineer Job Opening in Dallas, Texas - Information Security Engineer for consideration, email resume to . technology's client is seeking a permanent full-time information security engineer in their uptown dallas office. job summary: we are seeking a dynamic, high-energy engineer responsible for providing technical and business advice for a wide variety of information security related matters. working individually, as well as part of various teams, this role is a subject matter expert who assists with the improvement of technical security on information systems. as a member of the products security team, this position is responsible for the implementation of effective, creative, and innovative approaches to security. the ability to interact with both internal stakeholders, including the product development team and internal network support team, and external parties such as customers or 3rd party suppliers is a must. a well-qualified candidate will be comfortable working with technical peers to embed a security-focused mindset in all areas, while always staying on top of the most recent tools and practices. to be qualified, you should know/understand/have experience with majority of the cis controls v7 today: 1. inventory and control of hardware assets 2. inventory and control of software assets 3. continuous vulnerability management 4. controlled use of administrative privileges 5. secure configuration for hardware and software on mobile devices, laptops, workstations and servers 6. maintenance, monitoring and analysis of audit logs 7. email and web browser protections 8. malware defenses 9. limitation control of network ports, protocols, and services 10. data recovery capabilities 11. secure configuration for network devices, such as firewalls, routers and switches 12. boundary defense 13. data protection 14. controlled access based on the need to know 15. wireless access control 16. account monitoring and control 17. implement a security awareness and training program 18. application software security 19. incident response and management 20. penetration tests and red team exercises
