ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Reconciles finished goods inventories
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
Computer Literate ? Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
Experience with SAP
Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel
Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Successfully pass a comprehensive background screening to include criminal, credit, educational, and work history
Bilingual ? English/Spanish

COMPUTER AND OTHER SKILLS:
It is essential to have proven proficiency in MS Office, specifically using Excel spreadsheets. Exceptional analytical, problem solving and strong organizational skills are also key. SAP experience is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as production reports, safety rules, procedure manuals and operating & technical instructions. Ability to write clearly on all documentation. Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding in following instructions furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form as well as the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The position requires the ability to stand, bend and/or stoop for extended periods of time doing repetitive motion while performing the various duties of this job, including: using hands & fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls as well as to reach with hands & arms. This position requires frequent walking, climbing and balance as well as the ability to taste and smell.
This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
