Job Description:
One opening is for employment in the tractor group, and the other is in wheel loaders.
The Electronic Machine Controls Senior Test Engineer shall plan, execute, and report results and recommendations from electronic / electrical system development and validation tasks to support activities on New Product Introduction and other Continuous Product Improvement projects.
This will include work on multiple machine sub-systems including Steering, Implements, Transmission, Braking, Displays, Off-Board Communications, or Engines.
Deliverables to be completed by the Electronic
Primary Skills:
Independent troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and/or electronic issues on machines
Installing and removing test hardware on machines
Flashing software on machines
Executing software validation tests on machines and recommending next steps based on test results
Documenting software validation completed on machines using standard section guidelines
Planning and executing software development activities on machines
Participating in various meetings to support the above activities The Electronic Machine Controls Senior Test Engineer will be expected to become an expert level user with electronic development software tools including:

Excellent analytical skills
Ability to perform complex assignments
Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
6 or more months of work experience at Peoria or Tucson Proving Grounds in a machine development environment.
Past experience with the following electronic development software tools:
CAT Electronic Technician
CadetWin
Vector CANape
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
