Experienced Tax Accountant Job Opening in Austin, Texas - Well-established and reputable NW Austin CPA firm is actively looking to add an Experienced Tax Accountant to their team. The firm offers a great work/life balance, professional atmosphere, and a team work oriented environment. There is definite opportunity for growth and advancement. This position will devote most of his/her time in the preparation of the firm's tax returns (Individual, Corporations, S-Corp's, Partnerships, Not for profits, & Trusts) and will also complete research and special projects as needed. Depending on experience, they may also be asked to be part of the review process. In addition, they will be responsible for bookkeeping procedures for some of those clients.
Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
* CPA license, currently sitting for the CPA exam, or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
* 2-5 years of public accounting experience in tax
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong work ethic and detail-oriented; flexibility to work overtime, if needed, to meet client deadlines
* Regular communication with Tax Partner and Tax Manager
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
* QuickBooks and/or Sage 50 (Peachtree) experience is needed
* ProSystems fx Tax and Engagement experience is a plus
* Checkpoint and/or PPC Tax Products experience is a plus
