Quick learner who can be trained about contraception in detail and conversationally facilitate a scripted conversation
Comfortable in encouraging contraception with women of childbearing age, if these patients are being prescribed opioids
Comfortable in concurrently managing multiple and complex technology applications; willingness to refer to technical job aids for support
Comfortable being "on camera? and being video-recorded during patient sessions
Ability to ?think on your feet? and respond appropriately to challenging patient questions
Focused on performance improvement; open to coaching and feedback
Willingness to perform administrative office tasks, when needed
Education Requirements: Preferred field of study includes education, healthcare, telehealth, medicine, counseling, communications, psychology, social work, medical patient navigation services, or related fields.
Required Knowledge, Experiences, Skills, and Abilities:
Professional presence and interpersonal skills
Comfortable discussing contraception and high-risk pregnancy topics
Ability to read scripted material to patients in a natural and empathetic manner
Ability to appropriately respond to diverse patient emotions; comfort managing patient distress
Ability to receive and adapt to performance coaching
High degree of comfort in learning and performing using various software programs
Ability to multitask among multiple software applications
Intermediate keyboarding and typing skills
Effective presentation skills: encourage interaction, engage participation
Willingness to operate within all policies, laws, protocols, and procedures
Interest in learning
Ability to wear make-up and proper attire for professional teleconferencing production
Highly organized with strong time and task management
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Power Point, and Excel) on either Apple or Windows computer systems
Ability to travel 15-20%

Company Overview:
VTM is an innovative patient education and engagement company that is rolling out a breakthrough service product in one-on-one patient education for the healthcare industry.
An early stage company, VTM connects trained Patient Educators at the VTM video call center with patients at the point-of-care via live videoconferencing technology for service delivery. VTM's interactive, video-based education and support services are redefining the high-touch patient experience.
We are currently seeking employees to educate child-bearing age women who have been prescribed opioids. The Educator will be discussing the patient?s experience with contraception, teaching women about their contraceptive options, including long-acting reversible contraception such as IUDs and implants and will also discuss the risks and prevention methods to avoid an opioid-affected birth.
The Educator will present a scripted multimedia presentation and use other educational tools while on video conference to ensure consistency and answers to frequently asked questions about contraception.
The Educator listens closely to the patient to ensure understanding of important compliance requirements and answers or creates a list of patient questions/concerns for clinicians to answer. If the patient chooses, the Educator will assist the patient in scheduling an appointment with one of our women?s health partners near them. It is important that the Educator feels comfortable teaching about and recommending long-acting reversible contraception methods such as hormonal IUDs and implants.
