Full-time Receptionist Job Opening in harrisburg, Pennsylvania - Full-time Receptionist Physical Therapy Practice seeks Experienced Receptionist We are looking for a full time receptionist to join our team long term. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a physical therapy clinic or other medical office and able to work 2 evenings until 7 PM. We have a great staff and likewise, a great patient base. About us: We are a very busy physical therapy practice with two locations; one on the East Shore near the Colonial Park area in Harrisburg and one on the West Shore on the Carlisle Pike. We have a strong, established referral base and continue to expand. Currently, we have three full time physical therapists and three part-time. We have three physical therapy assistants, three aides, a marketing coordinator, and five admin staff who handle the phone, the appointment schedule, the insurance, and collections. The owner is also a physical therapist and currently sees patients three afternoons a week at the West Shore clinic. We are a strong team and we work very well together. We are very proud of our service to patients and our level of professionalism. We are well organized and efficient while still maintaining a personal touch. Staff are well trained for their positions and work well together. We are goal oriented, with bonuses paid for achieving goals. We are open 5 days per week on the East Shore and 4 days per week on the West Shore at the present time. We have hours until 7 PM three nights per week at both locations. Purpose of the Receptionist: The overall purpose of the receptionist is to establish and promote a professional, friendly, efficient, and organized practice to patients and referral offices by performing receptionist duties accurately in a timely manner. The receptionist controls patient flow by maintaining full and balanced schedules for the clinic and assisting patients with intake, scheduling, check-in and check-out. Qualities: Friendly, likes people, while being professional Mature, calm, able to get things done efficiently Strong communication skills Able to work well with clinic staff, admin staff and owner in the best interest of the practice Solution oriented Able to multi-task Detail oriented Strong work ethic Experience with Medent, Microsoft Word and Excel Duties: Patient greeting and routing: Greet patients upon arrival with a smile. Process any necessary paperwork. Update system to inform clinic patient has arrived and is waiting to be seen. Scheduling: Maintain full and balanced schedules for all therapists. Schedule initial appointments with patients directly or with referral offices. Reminder phone calls. Schedule all appointments necessary to complete treatment plan. Follow-up with cancelled or no-show appointments and get re-scheduled. Phone: Answer all incoming calls with a friendly voice, �smiling over the phone�. Respond to all voicemails promptly. Route messages to other staff members. Handling of Patient Charts: Create new charts. Ensure completion of all paperwork and intake forms. Filing of all paperwork. Chart filing and routing.
