Retail Supervisor/Manager Job Opening in Kansas City, Kansas - This highly motivated and organized person will be responsible for day-to-day store operations of the Kansas City, KS retail store. Must be able to provide excellent customer service and product knowledge & have the ability to maintain and inventory product. Responsible for customer transactions and accounting for revenues received. As the Assistant Manager, will supervise all store personnel.
Retail Manager Essential Job Functions:
1. Responsible for customer service duties including phones, counter, cash register, and shipping;
2. Ensure outstanding customer service that meets or exceeds company standards;
3. Ensure a clean and attractive store and an excellent general appearance;
4. Responsible for cash register management, including, reconciliation of receipts, change supply, deposits, etc;
5. Manage, & supervise regular & seasonal staff.
6. Responsible for initial and on-going training for store staff on product knowledge, sales techniques and goals, and company policies and procedures regarding safety and cash security;
7. Responsible for store inventory control and related activities such as, receiving, verifying and stocking merchandise coming from the warehouse or vendors. Communicate special orders and product transfers. Perform and oversee physical inventory;
8. Responsible for controlling labor costs accordingly to prescribed budgets and sales activity.
9. Perform and oversee physical inventory;
10. Perform store opening/closing procedures including reconciling cash receipts, completing bank deposits and securing facility.
11. Responsible for general store maintenance
12. The assistant Manager will communicate with other retail stores on orders, transfers, inventory adjustments, and on order fulfillment and problems to ensure coordination of order fulfillment.
Job Requirements:

Significant experience in retail;

Previous Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager experience a plus
