Channel Sales Director
Currently, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Channel Sales Director to join our team in Austin.
The Director of Channel Management is responsible for the development and execution of Hayes? partner/channel strategy. Our exponential growth has paved the way for us to focus on our next area of opportunity, building a channel sales/partner program. This brand new and high profile role is a key strategic hire for the company as we develop a formal channel program for the first time. Creation of channel relationships in North America, along with rapid capitalization of the existing partnerships, are some of our corporate-focused key goals as we extend the business in this untapped area. This is a great role for someone who is entrepreneurial and is excited to build something.
Job Responsibilities:
Create and drive overall channel account strategy and development of a Hayes competency across priority channel partners
Develop a business plan and overall strategy with each partner. The plan should be based on a deep understanding of the partners? geographical and vertical focus, their products, strategies and customers. Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual progress against strategic goals within plan.
Sets short- and long-term channel sales strategies and goals
Identify, recruit, and enable channel partners, as well as VARs and Referral Partners to support business goals and to execute channel sales strategies
Manage partnership and sales engagement to over-achievement of partner sales targets. Work with assigned partners to engage in proactive sales opportunity generation, pipeline management and deal closure.
Develops relationships and structures partnerships with channel partners
Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship
Enable channel partners: Create and drive enablement activities based on automated and repeatable processes. Responsible for all development and enablement activities within the channel partner (sales, order placement, renewals, and services).
Coordinates development of sales and marketing materials (with Hayes? marketing team) required for channel partners to be successful
Promotes Hayes within existing and prospective channel organizations
Coordinates sales efforts with existing Hayes direct sales team
Trains sales resources within channel and attends client meetings with them where possible
Directs leads developed within the channel to the appropriate sales person within Hayes
Participates in overall Hayes sales strategy discussions as appropriate/needed
Manages potential channel conflict with other sales channels
Continuous evaluation & adjustment of program to ensure optimal effectiveness
Requirements:
Strong sales background spanning 5+ years and experience in driving direct sales and building and leveraging channel partners to drive sales
K-12 or SLED channel experience, ideally with a background in SAAS
Track record of experience and success with channel sales efforts
Track record of delivering on or above quota
Ability to build relationships and influence cross functionally; coordinating and leading executive level sales meetings and implementing quarterly business plans
Great relationship skills, tenacity, resilience and skills
Exceptional verbal & written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
Up to 50% travel
Ideally based in Austin, TX but will consider a remote office with proximity to a major airport
