PAYROLL CLERK Job Opening in Mount Airy, Maryland - Payroll Clerk
We are looking for a competent Payroll & Accounting Clerk to work closely with our accountants and office staff to process and manage payroll services for our many clients and to assist our accountants in the assembling, collating and filing of income tax returns.
Responsibilities include preparing payrolls and filing related taxes, generating invoices, answering phones, filing, scanning (general office duties) and may include contact with clients to collect outstanding payments. The ideal candidate should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness, have excellent communication skills, as well as an ability to work independently.
Requirements:
* Experience with Payroll
* Understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles or the willingness and aptitude to be trained
* Knowledge of Quick Books
* Knowledge of Intuit Easy Account preferred
* Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word and Excel
* Customer service orientation and skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Must ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of all company data
* High school diploma; Associate's/Bachelor's degree is a plus
