Account Manager Job Opening in Baltimore, Maryland - Job Title: Account Manager
Reports To: Sales Manager
Description: Generate sales for industrial environmental services in the Baltimore, MD region.
Responsibilities:
Prospect for new business by: internet prospecting, trade show participation, scouting directories, manifest lists and telemarketing leads, cold calling and other typical sales methods.
Maintain existing customer base by: regular visits and phone contact, scheduling periodic lunches, mapping out customer organization to identify other decision makers, providing prompt and accurate feedback to clients, regular review of customer operations to identify possible additional services, cross selling sister company services, and other typical customer retention techniques.
Initiate a sale following company procedures to complete forms necessary to produce a formal customer quote. Included with this process is the gathering of information for: the Technical Department to develop waste handling requirements, profiles and determine disposal facilities; the Transportation Department to coordinate and schedule trucks; the Field Service Department to develop labor and equipment pricing and schedules.
Obtain and provide accurate customer billing information and coordinate with Accounting for credit verification. Assist in resolution of billing or collection problems.
Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales activities in the sales database.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of direct sales experience - operations background a plus
Experience in waste management, industrial field services or other environmental services
Persistent, organized, disciplined, self-motivated individual
Proficient communication, computer and time management skills
Professional attitude, appearance and presentation, ability to work independently
Compensation:
Competitive base salary plus commissions
