Fiscal Clerk (Government Program) Job Opening in Baltimore, Maryland - Immediate need for financial professionals to join the fiscal department of a government program in Baltimore City.
Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable on and able to perform multiple facets of the program
Performs entry-level clerical accounting tasks with simple and clear cut procedures
Work may involve receipt of money, extending, balancing, and posting of simple fiscal transactions
Routinely preparing financial reviews (audits)
Interacts with program participants on a regular, daily basis either in person or via mail
May educate customers on program services and eligibility requirements
Assists customers throughout all phases of the application process, from enrollment through the awarding of benefits and services
Works with customers to meet and achieve program goals and/or maintain program services and eligibility
May follow-up with customers to ensure that their needs are met and questions and concerns are resolved
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years? experience in finance, and or auditing, QA preferred
Prior administrative or clerical work experience in a professional office environment preferred
Experience with MS Office products and in the use of a personal computer
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, to all segments of the population
Exhibits advanced programmatic knowledge
