General Description: Answer patients/guests inquiries via phone and in person. Provide necessary information, appointment scheduling, and customer service as needed. Interact with other department team members as well as practitioners to create the highest quality healthcare experience for all patients. The call center patient care team member is a vital component of the organization. The impressions a patient or guest formulate about Progressive Medical Center will depend largely on their interaction with the patient care team member.
Primary Job Function:
Proficient in all scheduling procedures and policies
Obtain appropriate information from patient to book visits and handle questions and concerns.
Answer general questions or transfer patients to appropriate staff member.
Make outbound phone calls to patients (upcoming scheduled appointment, no shows and cancellations, return phone calls within the hour, convey messages from practitioners, etc.).
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Handle difficult patients in an appropriate professional manner.
Ability to resolve patients? issues professionally, calmly and with empathy without escalating patient concerns or jeopardizing Progressive Medical Center?s customer service values.
Ability to work and thrive in high volume and ever changing environment
Complete other assigned duties as determined by supervisor
Annual HIPAA and OSHA training and other training as required by management for the department
Required Skills:
Some college or equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including written and verbal)
Ability to multi-task
1 year of administrative experience using computer skills with the ability to learn new software during the company training allotted time period
Pleasant, uplifting personality at all times (external/internal interaction with patients, guest, and team members)
Ability to provide excellent, professional customer service at all times is a must
Proficient organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
Prior Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems experience a plus
This is a Monday through Friday full time position at our main location. We are located in the heart of rush hour, in Dunwoody, right off of I285. While this is a great location for our patients?, it can provide a challenge for our employees. Please keep this in mind when applying.
