Head of Engineering Job Opening in Boston, Massachusetts - WiserTogether is an early-stage, venture capital backed company with offices in Boston, MA. The company?s SaaS based, Return to Health solution empowers people with clinically proven treatment guidance so they can manage and act on the best care for their situation.
We are looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and set technology direction for an exciting, early stage digital health company
Architect, plan, build, maintain, and support mission-critical infrastructure for the WiserTogether SaaS platform and oversee the product software development process
Develop leadership and management skills
Expand your responsibilities as the company grows
We are in the healthcare industry and are subject to HIPAA requirements, so experience managing secure infrastructure is a must!!
Expectations and Tasks:
Manage the WiserTogether Technology team
Manager of the WiserTogether technology infrastructure, hands-on
Oversee application development for the Return to Health platform
Interface with senior management, key stakeholders, prospects and clients
Manage both in-house, contract, and vendor
Manage, enhance, and maintain a HIPAA compliant technology infrastructure
Manage product environments and product versions, including product updates and releases
Maintain modern public website infrastructure, based on AWS
Diagnose and resolve production issues
Discuss technology architecture, infrastructure, and security with customers and prospects
Provide internal IT support
Candidate Experience:
10+ years of experience
Managing or leading small teams
Managing vendor relationships
Building and running web server and related infrastructure on AWS, hands-on
Running agile development methodology and managing software build & promotion process
Familiarity with data backup systems, web applications, and network management
HIPAA compliance and policies
Healthcare IT operations
