Clinical Manager Job Opening in Lynn, Massachusetts - GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Manager of SCO Clinical Case Management oversees the provision of managed care services to CCA SCO members through Element Care (EC). Incumbent is responsible for managing and overseeing the Case Management and Utilization Management activities of the SCO program, organizing, preparing and implementing policies related to clinical matters, and contributing to the SCO strategic initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities;
Provides clinical management to SCO Case Managers and oversight of the contracted teams.
Ensures consistent teamwork, open communication and interdisciplinary participation.
Implements clinical strategies and operations focused on managing relationships and workflows, ensuring the highest care delivered to members.
Serves as a subject matter expert for SCO model and clinical decisions regarding members.
Ensures the administrative and personnel resources are effectively managed.
Participates in internal and external Case Management development efforts.
Sets specific challenging and achievable objectives and action plans; motivates others to balance member needs and SCO success; challenges self and others to look to the future to create optimal care for members.
Ensures EC and partner affiliates continuously meets all relevant regulations, codes and other requirements whose compliance is necessary for business operations.
Recruits, develops, and motivates staff. Initiates and communicates a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Frequent local travel.
Performs other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
Bachelor?s of Science in Nursing required.
Certification in Case Management preferred.
Minimum of 2 years management experience working in healthcare.
Ability to convey information timely, clearly and succinctly.
Strong communicator, verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to quickly recognize situations/problems before they become acute, and able to implement effective solutions and understand consequences.
Strong management and team building skills.
Eldercare experience preferred.
Strong understanding of the clinical service delivery systems to elders living in a community setting.
Ability to use and understand software programs that ensure medical record keeping as required by Strong computer skills including Microsoft office.
