Hippo Manager Software, Inc. is dedicated to delivering high quality veterinary practice management software to animal health professionals. Hippo Manager provides veterinary clinics with web-based software designed to enhance all aspects of clinic operation; including medical charting, scheduling, inventory, billing, client communications and more. We are seeking an experienced sales manager to expand our growth.
ABOUT THE JOB:
We are looking for someone with the true entrepreneurial spirit, willing to work in a fast paced environment with no limits on their earning potential. The Sales Director is responsible for the sales and promotion of our software to the North American and global veterinary markets. This position requires the ability to learn and retain technical product information and to be able to communicate this knowledge to team members, veterinarians, technicians and purchasing agents. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing a client base and existing sales team. This position requires the close collaboration with our marketing and support teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Responsibilities:
Meet established sales goals
Set a vision for sales force that aligns the field sales organization around the company vision and strategic plans.
Provide support and collaboration on Marketing activity to align sales and channel strategies in the accomplishment of brand specific marketing strategies.
Develop and manage sales strategy & drive performance.
Execute performance management systems to align sales management and selling activity, to measure performance and to adjust performance to the accomplishment of the annual business plan.
Provide feedback to senior leadership on market trends, competition and field sales execution.
Continuously assess and improve sales force talent to maximize Hippo?s performance in every local market.
Manage contacts and key business relationships to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Responsible for developing strategy and budgets for the region.
Responsible for developing and managing area operating expenses.
Ensures profitability through expense management, and local investment allocations.
Tactical Responsibilities:
Daily sales calls to prospective and current clients (veterinarians, clinics, hospitals and offsite meetings).
Ensure sales team compliance of Hippo's CRM, Salesforce.
Responsible for meeting aggressive sales, margin and expense objectives.
Work in coordination and in support of the executive team.
Assisting with refinement and evolution of the sales process.
Managing and monitoring weekly activity and lead progress reports from the sales team
Attend all major conventions and trade shows and be responsible for overseeing the organization of these conventions in regards to its product lines.
Responsible for sales forecast and assist with purchasing and sales planning activities.
Research and help implement new product opportunities.
Perform market research as required.
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree from an accredited institution is required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift 80 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
Must have a valid US driver?s license.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good presentation skills and computer competency.
The ability to understand and successfully sell technical products.
Experience selling in an aggressive outside sales environment.
Self-motivated and highly driven.
Maintain a clean credit rating and the ability to charge and expense travel costs.
LOCATION:
Lexington, KY
TRAVEL:
Less than 25% (approximately may vary) traveling with the sales representatives covering their territory, attending conferences, some overnight travel required.
COMPENSATION:
Base + Commission; stock options for the right candidate
