Job Cost Accountant Job Opening in Bellingham, Washington - We are currently looking for an Experienced Job cost accountant to add to our team. A successful candidate will have the ability to apply sound judgment, analytical and problem-solving techniques to make reasoned, timely and consistent decisions while being attentive to detail.
Responsibilities:
Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
Analyzing data collected and recording results
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on costs
Analyzing actual manufacturing cost and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products and services
Maintaining Cost account system
Reconciles finished project estimates
Assisting the Accounting department with the budget process
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 solid years of accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Must have strong costing and analytic skills
Great understanding of accounting principles
Proficient in a wide Varity of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
