Accountant II Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Accountant II
Fast growing manufacturing company in South Seattle seeking an Accountant II/Lead to join their 3 person team. You will utilize your accounting knowledge and experience to ensure best practices and standards are met on a regular basis. This critical role will provide upper management with professional data and tools needed to run the business. Ideal candidate will have accounting degree, experience with ERP system ideally in manufacturing environment and 5+ years general accounting background.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare month end journal entries
Compile Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and other management reports
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Compare budget/forecast to actual results with relevant and clear variance explanations
Analysis of transactions and vendor statements
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintenance of fixed asset module
AR Collections Management
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelors in Accounting preferred but equivalent experience okay in lieu of degree.
Accounting or Finance background required
5+ years general ledger experience
5+ years accounts payable experience
MUST have experience with ERP system and know how these work.
GAAP knowledge and accounting research skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of accounting systems system solutions to improve processes and automation, and advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
