Accounting Manager Job Opening in Vancouver, Washington - The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions while providing excellent leadership and supervision to the existing accounting team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for accuracy and making deadlines, and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who has at least 5 years of accounting experience and advanced skills with Quickbooks. Familiarity in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Job Duties:
Develop and monitor a purchasing process for inventory and COGS
Assist in all day-to-day accounting functions through month-end close
Emphasis on streamlining purchasing, financial analysis, and reporting
Provide training, supervision and leadership to accounting staff including Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, and Payroll
Assist senior management with preparing financial statements, developing budgets, and reports
Perform regular period-end closing responsibilities including, but not limited to, journal entries, expense review, accruals and intercompany transactions and balancing
Review balance sheet, general ledger accounts, and income statement schedules
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
Ensure compliance with required external and internal controls
Support the organization through reviews and audits

BA in Accounting or 5+ years of accounting experience
Experience with A/P and purchasing required, manufacturing experience preferred
QuickBooks experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
