Equipment Service Sales Representative Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - Position Details & Responsibilities : The Equipment Service Sales Representative, provides support to business development by establishing new and further developing existing customer relationships. This requires a seasoned professional service and sales person, who will target non-rental customers only (end users). The Service Sales Rep will work closely with the Branch Manager.
Objectives & Measurement Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
Finds and builds customer relationships with new service customers.
Further develops existing relationships with service customers.
Works to grow the Tennessee Division monthly revenue goals by obtaining new service and paint work.
Works closely with Branch Manager on all quoted service work.
Performs initial field inspections on equipment in order to provide estimates for service and paint shop work to the customer.
Obtains service work approval from customer and facilitates the delivery of machines to the shop in a timely manner.
Communicates and updates the status of work completion and any delays between the shop & customer.
Continually maintains records of sales activity in the company CRM.
Requests feedback from customers on all repairs and communicates findings to Branch Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
Education/ Experience : High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and (10) ten years of verifiable equipment repair experience preferably with aerial work platforms, telehandler forklifts and general rental equipment. All related equipment experience will be considered.
Language: Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively before individual customers and must be comfortable making service presentations to large groups.
Mathematical Skills: Accurately and quickly calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Demonstrate ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving many different variables in various situations.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and listen to equipment sounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside for short and long periods of time operating and inspecting equipment and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment may be significant, as expected in a manufacturing industry facility or construction site. While performing duties for this job, the employee may be exposed to extremely hot temperatures and rainy conditions and must be prepared appropriately.
