Looking for stability? Then HireScout has got you covered. Currently our medium, stable client in Phoenix is looking to add a Project Accountant to their growing accounting team. The Project Accountant will be responsible for all job cost accounting and billing for construction projects.
Essential Job Functions / Tasks:
Contract review and preparation
Set up new jobs based on approved format
Maintain folder structure
Risk management - Order and track all insurance, bonds, and pre-liens
Job cost transfers as needed
Request Certificates of Insurance, bid bonds or performance bonds as needed
Work with Project Managers to set up schedule of values for all fixed price jobs
Prepare monthly draw requests utilizing approved schedule of values
Enter project budgets and change orders in system
Prepare time and material billings on an as needed basis
Issue and record Subcontract agreements.
Prepare flow down documentation
Process and monitor Subcontractor Pre-Qualifications
Enter Subcontractor Billings
Education and Experience:
BS in Accountancy preferred or 3-5 years equivalent experience in Construction industry
Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access)
Skills:
Professional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Team player, ability to recognize how individual actions affect the team as a whole
Ability to work in fast paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with new and existing customers through a high degree of professionalism and excellent skills.
