Programmer Job Opening in Plano, Texas - Purpose of Position
The IT Computer Programmer is responsible for writing codes to create software programs. This includes, coding and testing documents and maintaining information systems according to established standards.
Essential Functions:
Write programs in a variety of computer languages, such as C# and Java
Update and expand existing programs
Debug programs by testing for and fixing errors
Build and use computer-assisted software engineering (CASE) tools to automate the writing of some code
Use code libraries, which are collections of independent lines of code, to simplify the writing
Gather software requirements from internal & external clients
Architect, develop and implement software systems according to client requirements
Design and implement databases, software, console and applications according to best practices and coding standards
Resolve and troubleshoot small and complex issues
Ability to interact and support client needs on site
Utilizes software development methodologies and work closely with project team to develop solutions for the reporting and visualization of data measuring environmental impact
Works closely with clients in identifying scope and estimating projects
Gathers and documents requirements and technical specifications
Develops, and implements new web and mobile applications for iOS and Android
Responsible for mobile application publication procedures
Ensures quality production codes are delivered in a timely manner
Ensures existing applications are scaled to meet expected demand
Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice
Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
Advanced understanding of complex instructions in order to create computer codes
High degree of competence in analyzing functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities
Possess knowledge of computer equipment and the ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
Ability to work at a computer, writing lines of code for long periods of time
Willingness to think outside the box and to utilize to make a difference in protecting the environment
Ability to work in dynamic environment including occasional deployments to field or client locations and managing multiple data streams in a dynamic reporting environment all in an effort to report real time field conditions
Experience working closely with project stakeholders including systems engineers, data analysts, and programmers to meet client defined strategies and requirements
Self- starter with limited direction
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred
Project Management Experience preferred
E-Commerce knowledge and experience preferred
Required Skills 3 ? 5+ years:
Experience in software development
C#, 4.5/4.
MVC, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap
Responsive Web Design
T-SQL and LINQ
Web services and Web API
SQL Server (stored procedures, jobs, triggers, query optimization)
Agile development and continuous delivery
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and related technologies (hardware, virtualization, networking)

Object Oriented design and development experience
Experience writing unit tests and mocks
Education:
Bachelor?s degree Information Technology, Systems Engineer or a related field preferred
