Job Summary
The sale Representative has a range of complex responsibilities. Adell Cooperative?s success as a company rests, in part, in how well our customers perform. Helping our customers with a broad range of key performance indicators, understanding their needs, management capabilities and feestuff inventories. Matching the nutrient components of what their feedstuffs provide with what is needed to reach optimum performance and profitability. Monitoring and tracking the inventories and forage dry matters.
The Sales Representative builds and maintains a network or good business relationships within and outside the company. Working in partnership with vendors, University and extension personnel. As part of the Adell Cooperative sales team, working collaboratively with office and mill staff, increases the level of success for all team members and the company. It is essential that when attending seminars or discovering new products and techniques, that we bring the information back and share with the group and grow as a team.
Essential Duties
Arrange visits with dairy operations to promote goods and services provided by Adell Cooperative.
Take feed samples for the purpose of creating a feed program for your clientele while always monitoring cost vs performance.
Being a competent representative for Adell Cooperative and maintaining a professional image in the market place.
Being an outstanding resource person for your clientele and understanding the market place as it pertains to commodity, milk, cheese and meat prices.
Understand the pressure your customers face with fluctuating market prices, weather and labor issues.
Establish relationships with owners and managers of area farms for commodity and ingredient purchases.
Have a keen observation of your clientele?s facility, while developing additional opportunities to up sell other products that Adell Cooperative carries, to include other animal species.
Complete all necessary sales reports for Adell Cooperative.
Comply with all local, state and federal laws as they pertain to the company and customers alike.
Additional Duties
Complete written feed delivery reports.
Have knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment to understand what it takes to make and process customer products.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
A minimum of a BS Degree in Animal Sciences or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of computers and feed ration analysis software.
Ability to lift 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques, climb ladders and operate a one ton pallet jack if needed.
Positive, helping attitude.
