Sales Representative Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Description : Promet Steel, Inc is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, professional individual who is looking to start or further their career in sales to fill a full time position as a Sales Associate! Promet Steel is an independent multi-facility steel service center that specializes in the sale and processing of flat-rolled carbon steel products since 1995. Our sales associates are expected to meet or exceed the sales objectives of an assigned territory by promoting and selling the core products and services of Promet Steel through the use of professional sales techniques, long term customer relationships and product knowledge. Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.
Extensive training and development support will be provided.
Responsibilities: Sales associates are required to develop new accounts and leads, maintain and grow existing accounts, communicate customer needs, follow up on customer inquires and prepare sales forecasts.
Compensation: This will be a salary position during training and transition into a commission based with a monthly draw program after training has been completed. Unlimited earnings potential based on sales volume.
Requirements:
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
Effective computer skills that include working knowledge of Microsoft Office
The right candidate will be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude and enjoys an active paced environment
Previous sales experience is preferred but not required
Post high school education is preferred but not required
Valid driver's license
