This position provides the opportunity for promotion to a team lead, manager, and partner. We like to promote from within. This is a full time position that offers employee benefits such as health care and a 401K plan.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Contact businesses and private individuals by telephone in order to promote and sell Farmers products and services
Set appointments and x-dates for producers/agents
Explain the product or service to potential customers
Adjust scripted sales pitch to meet needs of specific individuals
Provide accurate quote details
Handle customer questions
Obtain customer information including names, addresses, emails, payment methods and current insurance and risk information
Record customer details in Farmers system
Obtain contact details of potential customers from sources including telephone directories, Internet research, purchased lists, and commercial walks
Answer telephone calls from potential customers who are responding to advertisements
Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction
Assist with marketing and social media projects as needed
Market to centers of influence; car dealerships, real estate agents, attend community events, restaurant associations, etc..
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies a plus
Relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
Insurance Product knowledge a plus.
Insurance License a plus but not required.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications (MS Word, Office, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
