New Credit America is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Record bank transactions for all bank accounts assigned
Record portfolio purchases and sales
Reconcile and record monthly check automation activities performed by the Company
Perform bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
Prepare interest calculation schedules and platform revenue schedules
Prepare allowance calculation and update into a year-to-date worksheet
Record bi-monthly payroll entries
Ensure A/P and A/R invoices are recorded properly and accurately
Reconcile intercompany and balance sheet accounts monthly
Maintain the general ledger and identify discrepancies and irregularities
Ensure that subsidiary financial results are recorded on parent books monthly
Perform monthly closing include record accrual, charge-off entries, in accordance with GAAP
Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and documentations
Ensure journal entry completeness for external audit purpose
Gather documentation and make sure GL records and supporting documents are ready for internal and external needs
Update daily cash flow worksheets and reconcile to the general ledger
Provide information for business licensing renewals and property insurance renewals
Assist in additional tasks and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance required
1 to 3 years accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in computer skills (include Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred
Should be organized, self-motivated, have attention to detail and be able to produce accurate results in an efficient manner
Able to adapt to face paced and evolving environment, demonstrate quick learning ability
Results oriented with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and through changes
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
Be able to adhere to a routine schedule and comply to procedures and protocol

Competitive Salary DOE ($50 - $60k/yr)
