Controller Job Opening in Longmont, Colorado - HBR seeks an accomplished professional for the position of Controller , reporting to the VP of Finance. The role will indirectly report to the President and reside in Longmont, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
The Controller will work closely with the VP of Finance to develop solid accounting and controlling processes and procedures and assist in long and short term planning. The manager is responsible for all forecasting, budgeting, general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. The role has 2 direct reports.
Responsible for the yearly budget and periodic forecasting
Financial Support for annual strategic plan
Responsible for completing monthly reporting package
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Oversee the processing of accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts & general ledger
Responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring of working capital and manufacturing variances.
Oversee EAC process and suggest and implement improvements.
Develop forward pricing rates
Oversee processing of and provide recommendation to improve working capital days
Responsible for the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a scheduled basis.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
Coordinate and complete annual audits including DCAA
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance. The right candidate should be a self-starter with a track record of success and strong interpersonal skills. This person should have the ability to be an individual contributor and also work well in a team environment.
Proven working experience in leading project. Management experience a plus
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to direct and supervise
BS degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA Preferred
