Web Developer Job Opening in Dayton, Ohio - Frontier Technology, Inc. is seeking a full-time Web Developer to join our team of qualified, talented, and diverse individuals at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
Roles
Act as an Intermediate Software Engineer to provide expertise and assist the Government in performing web development within the AFMC Business Environment (ABE), which is the AFMC Business Enterprise Architecture. It is the official repository of all AFMC business process and business IT system architecture information. It provides a web based environment allowing users to see in real time key AFMC business enterprise components such as processes and business systems and their relationships to policies, on-going initiatives, business rules, etc. ABE visualizes the AFMC BEA in easy-to-understand views.
Responsibilities
Serve as a web developer responsible for building and maintaining web applications. Duties will span from front-end design to back-end functionality. Developer?s primary focus will be to provide innovative design, implementation, and maintenance of data-driven websites ? with emphasis placed on front-end UI design. The developer will be expected to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to achieve a common vision and direction for development.
Duties
Develop front-end web interfaces using HTML/JavaScript best practices
Develop back-end functionality utilizing (C#/VB) framework best practices
Tracks and develops solutions for the enhancement of the AFMC Business Environment
Integrate data from various back-end sources
Proper documentation of all work
Maintenance and monitoring of developed websites
Collaborate with other team members
Experience
5 years of experience with Bachelor?s degree
Proficient understanding of front-end languages & technologies, such as: HTML5, JavaScript
Proficient understanding of back-end languages & technologies, such as: , C#, VB, SQL
Capable of designing modern, intuitive web-based user interfaces
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming best practices
Knowledge of web development principles including session & security management
Knowledge of cross-browser and mobile development requirements
Adequate understanding of relational databases and concepts
Ability to solve problems in a creative, efficient, and effective manner
Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse team
Education
(Minimum) Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred), or related fields
(Preferred) Master?s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/ maintain a government security clearance
