The Research Biostatistician prepares analysis plans and writes detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures; communicates with clients regarding statistical analysis issues. Interprets analyses and writes statistical sections of study reports.
All About The Role
Prepare analysis plans and write detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables and figures in conjunction with the on-site supervisor
Complete statistical analysis of independent data groups using appropriate scientific methods
Provide input on analysis plans and design for the analyses of multiple complex data sets from diverse scientific areas
Complete correlation, regression, and other analyses across multiple complex data sets as directed by the Principle Investigator or on site supervisor
Interpret analyses and write statistical sections of study reports and for scientific manuscripts
All About You
Masters-level degree in Statistics, Mathematics, and/or related field required
2+ years of experience in statistical analysis preferred
2+ years of experience in DoD, healthcare, or public health settings desired
Familiarity with developing statistical modeling and predictive analytics preferred
2+ years of data science and analytics experience
Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with SAS, R, Python, and/or SQL and other Microsoft Office Software required
Must have the ability to present data results (orally and/or written) to the Principal Investigator and other members of the team and the ability to determine the quality of the data in order to ensure the integrity of the study
Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner
Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines and to manage multiple projects
