Vesta, Inc is a not for profit, financially sound, mental health company which is expanding throughout the Maryland area. Vesta provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare to include clinic, day program, and residential homes for those suffering from mental health disorders as well as transitional housing for homeless we are seeking a Regional Director for our Lanham Region. We are seeking someone with a clear understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the severely mentally ill population and as well as comparable management experience to include client centered care, person centered planning, staff motivation, program development, and regulatory compliance. The Regional Director is responsible for the overall guidance of the Region and its programs which include an outpatient mental health clinic, psychiatric rehabilitation program, and multi-level care residential homes. The Regional Director must possess excellent time management skills; the ability to communicate ideas and expectations in a clear manner to a diverse staff which includes clinical as well as direct care workers; and the ability to delegate duties for increased efficiency. The Regional Director must be motivational and progressive with actions and commitments and is responsible for understanding and complying with the organizational and regional policies as well as local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. The Regional Director is responsible to the Chief Operating Office and directly manages a team of 5 to 6 program directors. This position in exempt, full time, and participates in a bonus compensation plan. Base salary is determined by experience, licenses, region size, and degree.
Functions:
Analyzes and mitigates risk to the region (i.e. compliance, regulatory changes and requirements, best practice for consumers) by proactively monitoring internal and external risks to the company. Developing action plans and utilizing the regional management team to implement plans.
Manages overall financial performance of the region by analyzing and reconciling financial reports; determining trends and areas of opportunity; and advising others on cost control methods.
Provides overall direction for a region by analyzing short and long term business objectives and consumer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing tangible and intangible costs and incorporating them into business plans; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a consumer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Cultivates an environment where staff members respect and adhere to company standards of integrity, cultural awareness, and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Requirements:
Education: Master?s degree from an accredited college/university in management, health care administration, behavioral science, human services, or other closely related : Five years of progressively responsible administrative or management experience with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in managing or assisting in the management of a large or complex mental health, public health, or human services organization. Comparable experience in an alternate industry will be considered but must include responsibility for fiscal/budget administration, personnel administration, regulatory and compliance, and daily operations of multiple programs. A Bachelor?s degree in a qualifying area may be considered with five years of experience as specified above.
