Responsibilities
Management and oversight of Estimating Department.
Set up newly received bid opportunities, determine required trades for the bid, and send bid invitations to appropriate subcontractors.
Monitor/address coverage for each job to ensure a sufficient number of bids is received.
Respond to scope questions from subcontractors and send RFI requests to responsible PM.
Manage, organize, and track all project documents (drawings, addenda, RFIs, bid forms, etc.).
Review (with Chief Estimator) the received proposals to ensure correct scope for each trade.
Fill out client bid forms and submit proposal to client.
Prepare budgetary proposals for clients.
Continue to build database with qualified subcontractors.
Perform subcontractor and vendor buyout
Qualifications
1 year experience estimating with a total of 3 years in construction
Ability to read blueprints (architectural, civil, structural, MEP).
Ability to juggle multiple competing demands in a fast-paced environment and quickly reprioritize tasks as necessary.
Manage, organize, and track a large number of documents/tasks daily.
Review Estimating Department work load and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication of Microsoft Office programs, MS Word, Excel and Outlook, Plan Swift is a plus.
