Practice Development Specialist/Liaison Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - A small healthcare marketing agency is looking for a part time (1099 contracted) motivated and experienced individual for the metro Washington DC area. This position requires an outgoing individual with excellent people skills as well as having excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate is able to develop and maintain strong relationships and posses some entrepreneurial insight. Looking for a seasoned individual that should have both healthcare clinical experience and marketing/sales expertise. This position does not incorporate strong sales tactics but the use of education and relationship building skills to gain strong referral sources for our clients.
Marketing Liaison Responsibilities:
Promote a positive image for firm and it?s clients to referral sources and in the community.
Represent both the firm and it?s clients at community functions and professional organizations.
Actively do field office visits (cold calling) and maintain high productivity and effective interactions.
Actively pursue new and innovative marketing opportunities for new clients.
Participates in local organizations and activities relative to the healthcare professions and community health services.
Actively develops and pursues referral sources, as well as facilitates on-going relationships with medical and health communities.
Maintain marketing targets database.
Maintain weekly marketing schedule and activity reports.
Maintain expense reports as required and work within budget guidelines.
Qualifications Include:
Must have experience in the medical community and working knowledge of healthcare.
Candidate must have a high-level of energy and drive, flexibility, congenial professional nature, quick learner with the ability to quickly apply a defined process, high level of public relations confidence.
Ability to work in a management structure that is both independent and interactive.
Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment, have excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must have very good working knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office programs especially excel
Must be familiar and have a working skill set with Social Media (primarily Twitter, Facebook, )
Bachelor?s degree, or equivalent
Minimum of one year inside or outside sales/marketing experience with proven success.
Must dress professionally at all times.
