Biomedical Test Equipment manufacturer, distributor and service provider is in need of on-site calibration technician. The technician tests and calibrates electronic test equipment and uses procedures to measure equipment for conformity with Description: On-Site Technicians travel around the country going into Biomedical departments in hospitals and medical facilities to verify and calibrate their biomedical test equipment. There is no equipment that is used on or touches patients and there is no patient interaction.
Position split with half-time being spent on the road nationally (up to 1 month at a time) and half-time working in the In-House calibration lab in St. Charles, MO (day shift) on the road will include overnights and weekend travel. Company provides van and equipment, plus covers expenses. Training will be 2-3 months in St. Charles, MO. Salary plus Commission with On-Site work
--Experience with electronics hardware installation, repair or maintenance a plus----
--Biomed/Clinical Technology a plus - Ex): PMEL or BMET
--Previous experience with calibration or test equipment a plus---
-Must possess good customer service/relations skill
-Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate should be responsible, able to work without direct supervision, capable of dealing with customers and flexible enough to deal with the demands of the job. Computer skills should include Windows, Microsoft Office, Data Entry and general familiarity with hardware. Face to face customer service is a large part of the job. Must be able to perform data entry into databases and spreadsheets quickly and accurately. Must be detail-oriented and organized. Must be able to follow instructions, both written and oral. Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Must manage time wisely and meet deadlines. Must observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Must be able to be a good representative for the company. Job requires repetition and the ability to lift over 60 lbs.
