Responsibilities:
As chief accountant for the organization, the Director of Accounting is responsible for the accounting operations of the agency to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls. The Director delivers reported results in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and state audit guidelines.
This individual coordinates with external auditors and prepares for internal agency audits, establishes and maintains banking and vendor relationships, manages and forecasts cash flow positions, and reviews and catalogues financial contracts, financing agreements and insurance policies. The Director oversees all accounting department staff and ensures conformance to agency's policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and the standards of professional agencies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5 years supervisory experience
5 years experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit and/or healthcare environment
strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, & financial reporting
excellent communication and leadership skills including demonstrated ability to form, lead, & develop high-performing teams; and ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
Desired:
relevant Master's degree and/or additional accounting certification
proficiency in GP Dynamics strongly desired

Full time, 37.5 hours/week
