Position Summary: A part-time experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks and strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is required. Experience with a Condominium Homeowners? association a big plus. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications as well as good customer relations and communication skills. The ideal candidate can multi-task, is reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Main position tasks and responsibilities:
Check and verify document such as invoices, receipts and work orders
Manage Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Allocate and post financial transaction details
Reconcile and balance accounts
Produce financial reports ? P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance
Track and maintain inventory records
Prepare checks, payments and bank deposits
Assist with payroll processing
Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
Assist with budget preparation and audits
Work with other staff to develop work order system using QuickBooks or other method
Required skills:
Degree in Accounting preferred
Five years? experience working in AP/AR, general ledger, payroll and reporting
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks
This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours per week. Customer interaction and some phone work required.
