Senior Accountant, Consolidations Job Opening in Rockville, Maryland - Seeking a motivated professional with 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience and the ability to perform the monthly consolidation process of all of the ISS subsidiaries, both domestically and internationally. This is a great opportunity to be a key player in the accounting department of a dynamic, global organization. Responsibilities
Completing the monthly close process for the North American entities, and leading coordination of the close on a global scale.
Consolidating the results of all ISS subsidiaries and recording proper elimination entries for US reporting purposes. This will entail multi-currency consolidations using a Consolidation tool.
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting packages.
Prepare income statement and balance sheet analytics.
Preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows including all supporting work papers.
Maintenance of proper investment accounting of subsidiaries.
Preparation of all transfer pricing entries for the US with subsidiaries.
Research and prepare internal memos on various accounting topics.
Other general accounting responsibilities and special projects as required.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
Good analytical skills; ability to challenge the numbers.
Strong communication skills; ability to articulate through process and present it in a succinct way.
Extremely organized, detail oriented and hard working. A roll up your sleeves attitude.
Knowledge of foreign currency exchange and international consolidations is strongly preferred.
Excellent Excel skills required.
Tech savvy, having the ability to implement new tools, build analytic models and reports.
Knowledge of accounting ERP systems (Epicor a plus).
A mix of public and private experience preferred.
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting required and a CPA is a plus.
Minimum 4-7 years accounting experience.
