Respiratory Therapist PRN Days Job Opening in Nampa, Idaho - The role of the Respiratory Therapist is to work with a patient and their family and to provide education to promote knowledge and understanding of the patient?s disease process, interventions, therapies and self-help techniques. Alana healthcare utilizes its proprietary programs to improve the quality of life of each patient in our care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
Respiratory Therapist are to:
Maintains an understanding of the subject matter as set forth during orientation and training.
Must maintain a compliant visit schedule.
Consult with patient?s physician regarding patient?s health and wellbeing when additional therapies or interventions may be needed.
Consults with physician in the event of adverse reaction to therapies introduced.
Monitors patient?s physiological responses to therapy and testing procedures through patient vital signs and physiological signs and symptoms.
Respiratory Therapist must maintain a level of knowledge to interact with and retrieve chart information through an electronic medical records system
Demonstrates knowledge and confidence in subject matter related to the CROM program and disease management, including but not limited to:
Disease education for COPD, Asthma and other chronic respiratory conditions
Medication adherence
Pulmonary rehabilitation
Nutrition and general wellness
Respiratory device usage (CPAP, BIPAP, etc.)
Ability to educate patients, caregivers and other healthcare professionals (for in services or as needed)
Participates, on an ongoing basis, in traditional as well as virtual learning and educational programs.
Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.
Self-driven and accountable to provide great patient care and attention to detail.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
: Associate Degree is required, and one to three years? related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Valid State Driver?s License and clean MVR.
