Split 50-50 between tax and accounting work. Report to the firm's principal.
Our office emphasizes on accuracy, integrity and professionalism. Very quiet office. Most communication is done via emails. Regular work weeks - 40 hours/wk. 44-48hrs/wk during tax season. Free and easy parking.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare business and individual tax engagements including, but not limited to Federal income tax, State income tax, Sales tax and Franchise tax.
- Prepare complex payroll and payroll related forms.
- Perform write-up work, compilations of financial statements.
- Offer client support and guidance on general accounting/ bookkeeping/ tax issues.
: Must be professional, attention to details, organized, efficient, and thorough.
The right individual for this position will have:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited university in the US.
- 1 year experience in preparing BUSINESS Tax Returns.
- Experience with complex PAYROLL, sales tax, and franchise tax preferred.
- Experience with QUICKBOOKS or a similar accounting software.- Strong computer skills and knowledge including: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Strong written and verbal COMMUNICATION skills.
