Regional Sales Manager Job Opening in Dover, New jersey - Position Overview
Partner with JDV Equipment Management, Marketing and Sales leaders to identify and implement effective North America regional sales, focused on core product and service offerings. Ensure effective execution in line with company goals & objectives. Specific activities will include: Determine how we win in the local market. The role will segment, target and position products/services, identify sources for opportunity as well as areas of weakness. Partner with Executive management, product management and marketing to drive regional promotion and pricing decisions based on regional market/ customer dynamics. Partner with marketing team to coordinate activities and exploit Man Rep/channel synergies. Drive adoption of new products into the regional market by enabling sales with launch packages and direct marketing campaigns as relevant.
Essential Job Functions
Manages sales to all sites, corporate offices and consultants as required achieving objectives within assigned region/territory. Promotes value-added to all customers at all stages of the selling cycle. Sales travel expected will be 50-75% of the monthly weekday, but will vary and is at the discretion of the successful candidate.
Foster and maintain excellent relations with customers and prospects including regular follow-up, contract and custom pricing, timely quotations, and general account support / maintenance.
Responsible for Management of all Manufacturing Representatives in the assigned region/territory. Including due diligence on potential new representative companies.
Brings in inquiries and follows the proposal process to ensure that the proposal is competitive, accurate and on time. Passes on leads for new equipment or other sales territory opportunities belonging to other territories or salespeople.
Provides and coordinates presentations, conducts factory tours and site tours as necessary to close deals. Periodically reviews and assists in improvements to sales & marketing materials.
Daily follow-up of CRM tasks (from follow up to closure), with specific information gathered and entered into CRM at each stage.
Uses his/her best judgment on keeping traveling and selling expenses to a minimum, and submits accurate expense reports (at least monthly).
Assists in training new sales employees brought on to the sales force, as required.
Work effectively with other Departments to ensure customers are satisfied, commitments are honored, leads are followed, and challenges such as price or quality are addressed and resolved.
Provides customer and competitor marketing feedback. Gather customer feedback, data analysis and market knowledge and report on regional industry trends and competitive activity relevant to the assigned products managers and business leaders.
Serve as owner of all Sales Training activities including the development and presentation of all training tools and programs for assigned region/territory.
Other Job Functions
Participate in Man Rep meetings and joint calls with end users to address issues/ secure sales.
Participate in targeted local, regional and national trade shows and meetings for the purpose of increasing sales of products & services in assigned markets.
Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and activities.
Execute all company documents, including, but not limited to, expense reports, market information, pricing information, call reports, weekly reports, sales plans and any other requested information in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements
Proven ability to see new business opportunities, set and meet aggressive objectives, and develop strong working relationships.
At least 5-7 years of Technical / scientific sales experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers at all levels within organizations.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional groups (product management, R&D, marketing and sales) to deliver results.
Excellent communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary.
Experience in Water/Wastewater industry desired.

Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and arrange job assignments
Ability to negotiate, influence lead others
Computer skills (Word, Excel, CRM, CAD Viewer, etc)
Demonstrated Ability to work with little to no supervision
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and judgment when in direct contact with customers
